Online Gambling: A Non-Gamblers Suprising Journey Into The World of Online Gambling by Michele Miller

I am not a gambler. But every-so-often I get an itch to try my luck at a hand of blackjack or a round on the slots. It's the same urge that warrants me to randomly ask for a lottery ticket or circle lotto numbers on a quick trip to the local convenience store. You got to be in it to win it, I tell myself, thinking about a life filled with exotic vacations, fancy cars, and elegant dining. Even just a win of a few dollars would help pay for all the typical day to day expenses of life. So with anticipation, I cross my fingers and buy a ticket or two.

Usually it is when I win a few dollars that I dream about a trip to Vegas. I have been there before. During my trip I took up occupancy at the dollar slots and $5 blackjack table. I guess you wouldn't call me a high roller. The $100 gambling money I took along managed to last me the entire vacation. Even though I didn't bring home the progressive jackpot, like I was hoping, I had a good time trying.

It was during one of my speals about wanting to book a vacation to Vegas that a friend of mine told me about online gambling. "If your going just to play a few dollars, might as well", he informed me. At first I wasn't too sure how I felt about turning my computer into a casino. But then his logic made sense. Why spend the money on airfare, hotel accommodations, and a rental car to risk a mere $100. For a small-time player like myself, it really was kind of silly to incur all those expenses and take the vacation time from work.

It was then that I learned how big of a business online gambling is. Because it is a convenient and inexpensive way for those who do not live near a casino to be able to get in on the action, online gambling has become a hugely popular past time for millions around the world. I felt like I was just let in on a big secret. Gambling without having to deal with airport parking and security or the crowds. The casino would come to me. I liked it.

But I wasn't too sure about risking my hard earned $100 online. My mouth rumbled out my doubts to my friend. How do I know which online casino is legit? My computer doesn't have a coin deposit. How do I wager my bets? And if I win, how do I get my money?

My friend led me to my computer and did a quick search. In an instant he brought up sites dedicated to being online casino guides. One in particular, CasinoDawgs (http://www.casinodawgs.net), caught our attention with their extensive array of information and real casino feel. With a few clicks I was being told which casinos were safe to risk my money at, as well as the ins-and-outs of online gambling. There were instructions for all sorts of casino games, and even better, hints to help me win. I was surprised to see sections on Casino Bonuses, which in essence is free money the different online casinos were offering me to come and play at their site. The more I read, the more enticed I became. It was like a modern day trip to Vegas. My journey into virtual gambling had begun.
