My wife and I just got done freezing some lefse for the upcoming holidays!
We got it from Freddy's Lefse in West Fargo, ND but bought it in Las Vegas where one of the local Sons of Norway branches was having a bazaar.
Now, it's not bizarre, is it to get lefse at a bazaar in Las Vegas?
Here's the great lefse tip we received while there: we unpacked the lefse from Freddy's once we got it home and then put two pieces together covered them with wax paper; put two more pieces together and covered with wax paper, etc. That way we can take some out when we want it during the holidays and not have to thaw the whole batch.
The woman who gave us this lefse tip was so right in saying that it will make the process easier; otherwise the whole dozen takes quite a bit of time to thaw and, hey, we need our lefse NOW when the craving comes!
