None of the Above for President, 2008 Presidential Candidate, issued the following statement today, July 5, 2006, regarding oil prices:
"Today we saw a new record for oil prices with the price of a barrel of oil getting closer and closer to $80. It's just unbelievable.
In the 1970's during the Arab oil embargo we said we needed to less reliant on foreign energy. Yet, neither party did anything to move the nation in that direction.
So here we are 30 years later facing the same problems.
When will we learn.
The Democrats and the Republicans both blow a lot of smoke and do little.
I"m going to change that when you vote for me - None of the Above for President!
It's time to do something different. Lunacy is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Seems to me we have a bunch of lunatics in Washington - on both sides of the aisle."
